Our Story
In 2000, my father was working for DSNY (Department of Sanitation) and called to pick up a deceased cat during his shift in Brooklyn when he was tragically struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver. He was more than just a dedicated sanitation worker — he was a husband, a father, a friend to many, and an active member of the Staten Island Antique Automobile Club of America.
My dad is the man who sparked my passion for antique cars and inspired me to start my business. What began with car audio installations in antique vehicles has evolved alongside advancing technology — from sound systems to today’s AI-powered pedestrian detection and video safety systems. It’s heartbreaking to think that this technology wasn’t available soon enough to prevent tragedies like my father’s.
That’s why we’re launching the New York City Safe Driving Initiative.
In just a 12-month span, Staten Island alone saw 230 pedestrian injuries and 6 fatalities. At 12 Volt Fleet Solutions, we’re proud to be one of the first companies with access to four-camera AI pedestrian detection systems, and we’re committed to using this technology to help save lives.
